Northwoods Table Wreath
Picture Frame

Supplies:
  • Grapevine table wreath

  • Parchment paper, 2 sheets

  • Photo (5"x7" or smaller)

  • River pine spray

  • Rusted metal garland (trees and moose)

  • 3 yds. leather lacing

  • Spray adhesive

  • Glue gun and glue sticks

Instructions:
  1. Lay the grapevine wreath face down on the two sheets of parchment paper and trace around the inside of the wreath.

  2. Cut both pieces of paper just inside the traced lines.

  3. Crop the photo in a square or rectangle so it will fit within the paper circle.

  4. On the back of the paper, with pencil, lightly trace your photo.

  5. Add 1/4" to the inside of the traced shape.

  6. Cut the inside of the traced shape out of one sheet of paper creating a frame for your photo.

  7. Spray the wrong side of the cut paper with spray adhesive, center your photo face down over the opening, and adhere the 2nd sheet of parchment over the photo. sandwiching the photo between the sheets.

  8. Optional: Working over a sink with a damp towel on hand, light a candle and darken around the edges of the parchment. Work slowly and do not let parchment catch fire
  9. Using a small paper punch or an awl, punch a series of holes around the edge of the parchment paper 3/16" to 1/2" from the edge of the paper.

  10. Lay the paper inside the wreath and the lace the paper to the wreath with the leather lacing.

  11. Secure with a knot at the back of the paper.

  12. Cut the river pine spray into sections, cutting off the large pinecones.

  13. Glue the pine sprays to the lower left of the wreath.

  14. Cut the 2 moose off the wire garland, coil the extra wire and glue to the wreath as in the picture.

  15. Coil the wire between the two trees and wire the trees to the wreath.

  16. Glue the large pinecones into the center of the pine spray.

  17. Make a bow with the leather lacing and glue to the center of the pinecones.
