Patriotic Party Pal

Create a handy outdoor beverage caddie for holiday parties.
Materials:

• 1- 36"- 3/4" Dowel
  
• 1- 2 1/2" Treated Wheel
  
• 1- 1" Wood Screw/Washer
  
• 1- Bottle of Medium blue Latex paint
  
• 1- Bottle Satin finish clear latex sealer
  
• 1- Paint Brush

• 1- Spool Wrights 2 1/2" Americana Waterproof Ribbon 5966-00
  
• 1- Spool Wrights 2 1/2" Sheer Waterproof Ribbon 2186-06
  
• 1- Coil 4.7mm soft aluminum wire
  
• Drill & #12 drill bit
  
• 1- can of soda

1. Drill 1 1/8" hole through the side of the dowel, 3" from the top of the dowel.
   
2. Screw the threaded wheel to the top of the dowel. Be sure to attach wheel on the same end of the dowel as the drilled hole.
   
3. Paint dowel and wheel with blue paint and let it dry. Repeat for a total of 2 coats.
   
4. Finish dowel and wheel with latex sealer.
   
5. Insert one end of aluminum wire into drilled hole.
   
6. Coil wire around dowel 2 or 3 times towards wheel.
   
7. Place soda can on wheel and continue to coil wire around wheel and can. Approximately 4 or 5 times around can.
   
8. Remove soda can and cut off excess.
   
9. Tie a bow with the Waterproof ribbon and attach to underside of the wheel.
